February Favorites

First monthly post, yippie!

So we’re gonna start out with five products I’m feeling this month. Some I’ve had for a while, some are new, and some are rebuys. All of them have a little bit of a Valentine’s Day feel to them just because I’m a sucker for holidays that are only alive because of the greeting card industry. Just kidding. I seriously love Valentine’s Day though.

Colour Pop Lippie Stix in Frida

Described as, “A warm mid tone nude pink with a satin finish” it’s just that. A perfect nudie pink that you can pair with a slouchy sweater and a cup of coffee for a really relaxed feel that’s still polished. It’s in a Satin finish which I wasn’t sure I would be a fan of at first, but it’s totally grown on me (I’m a matte girl at heart). Great for those days when a matte lip is just a little too drying, especially with this weather we’ve been having. This was a new purchase, and I’ll more than likely rebuy because it’s a nice staple. Here for $5.

bareMinerals Matte Foundation in Medium Beige

Award winning – for a reason” Great coverage and lightweight, this powder foundation is one of my favorites. In the Winter months, I lean toward more of a matte look for my skin and this does the trick. The best thing about it? The minerals absorb excess oil without drying out your skin. This is something I’ve had for a while and haven’t had to rebuy yet, mostly because I change up my foundation routine a lot. I’m featuring the 0.03 oz version here, but you can get the full one here for $28.50.

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara

Cult classic. Vegan. My everyday, go-to mascara, and probably a life staple as far as I’m concerned. It’s a film forming Polymer for a smudge proof, all day look. No flakes and I only notice a little clumping, and that’s only when I pile on the coats. Here I have the sample size which is 0.17 oz, but I refuse to buy full sizes because there’s no way I could use a whole one in three months. Practice good eye hygiene and just get the baby size, please. Your eyelashes will thank you for it later. “One application of our collagen-fueled formula and touch of our specially shaped brush will leave you begging for more.” Yep. That pretty much says it all. Here for $23.

Mary Kay Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover

This is 3.75 fl oz, and it’s lasted me so long. A little goes a long way with this product and it does so without making the skin feel greasy which is a huge plus in my book. Removes everything under the sun in eye makeup, and is great for removing Halloween makeup as well (think oil face paint and temporary tattoos, your welcome my mommy friends). It’s also hypoallergenic and ophthalmologist-tested. Here for $15.

Pure Romance Body Dew in scent Love Story

This after-bath oil mist makes my skin feel fantastic. I put it on as soon as I get out of the shower and it’s never stained any of my clothing which is a giant plus to me. I also use it for photoshoots, and it makes your skin look phenomenal in front of the camera. A friend of mine held a PR party at the beginning of the month for her birthday, and as soon as the sales lady sprayed this on my arm to test it, I was sold. The sensual amber and warm vanilla scent was enough to pique my interest, but the feeling of my skin after was enough to keep me forever. The moisturizer is infused with a sweet almond oil to keep your skin looking nice and hydrated as well. Here for $20.
